Jose Luis de la Fuente is a Principal at STL. Jose Luis founded E6 Architecture in 1992 after winning an international architectural competition that received critical acclaim. In 1995 he relocated to the US to work with Chicago firm Skidmore Owings & Merril where he led design efforts of large scale projects in southeast Asia.

With 20 years of experience spent on both sides of the Atlantic Jose Luis’ strong design skills have helped distinguish STL as one of the leading design firms in Chicago. His uncompromising attention to detail and commitment to the production of high quality architecture have rendered great relationships with our clients. Jose has worked closely with clients such as Harris Bank and the Government of Spain to design projects such as the Instituto Cervantes of Spain, the Church of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe and the Little Village Community Health Center in Pilsen.

A devoted urban dweller he lives with his wife and two children in Chicago.
