To enhance a seemingly unimportant city rotunda located in Logroño, Spain, the city organized a competition centered on sculptures created by local artists. STL was approached to participate in this venture by sculptor Juan José Eguizabal in an effort to provide a strong, coherent architectural backdrop to the the chosen sculpture. To experience the sculpture fully, STL proposed two different visual paths: a circular outbound path and a linear, incisive penetration into the heart of the sculpture. The urban dimension of the rotunda was celebrated by the existence of three powerful vertical shafts of light. The work was awarded an Honorable mention by the competition jury.
