The Pilsen-Little Village Community Health Center is located in the heart of Little Village. A CILA is a combination of supports and services individually tailored for an adult with developmental disabilities. About 80 % of persons receiving CILA support also receive some additional support services such as nursing, behavior therapy, physical therapy and psychological services. This facility physically divides the living spaces from the support services and administrative areas through a landscaped courtyard to encourage the awareness of a more independent lifestyle for each resident and to provide direct connection to the calming and restorative natural world created within the patio. The internally focused building arrangement supports a peaceful environment in which the CILA resident can concentrate on learning skills necessary to thrive in the community.
